Bio

My name is Andy McDonald. I am a yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance at the ERYT-500 level. I began teaching yoga in 2004.  After a few years teaching, I found myself wanting to grow beyond the studio teaching structure I was in. I dedicated myself to teaching as a full time career in 2009 and set out to find opportunities to share everything I was learning with students who could benefit from it.

Along my journey I have deepened my knowledge through trainings, workshops, and classes in posture alignment, meditation, yoga philosophy, metaphysics, and sound healing. In my career I have taught students across a variety of ages (7 to 94) and fitness levels (disabilities, terminal illnesses, chair bound, fully healthy). Through my experience teaching at yoga studios, meditation centers, wellness centers, community colleges, grade-schools, community centers, hospitals, and corporations, I have been able to create a tremendous amount of freedom and confidence in what I offer students.

Yoga approached in the right way can help anyone feel better. One of the most basic benefits of practicing yoga is to help you feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally. Whether you simply want to feel better, or you want to take a deeper journey into the richness of the yoga tradition, I invite you to practice with me, and draw upon my experience, to help you live life with more courage, confidence, clarity, ease, and peace.
