The Japanese term kokoro means heart. The concept of kokoro transcends the physical, beating organ which is part of our circulatory system. Kokoro relates the intelligent heart. We can connect to this thinking/feeling heart to understand our experiences and guide our decisions and actions. Think of the common phrase, “follow your heart”. This is the heart to which kokoro refers. The mission of Kokoro Mindfulness is to help individuals bring more “heartfulness” to their practice and their lives; to help them access the power of their heart; to help them realize their full potential.
